Shipping and Handling Information

Wax Words cards have been successfully shipped all over the world! Although our cards are quite resilient and ship very well, there are some small precautions that should be taken to ensure your gifts are received as they are intended.

Shipping:

Wax Words ships single cards using a stiff white cardboard mailer. This is to ensure that the cards are not damaged by over-bending and the mailers give some impact protection. If you do re-mail one of our cards it is strongly suggested to use a similar mailer, as the included envelope cannot offer that same protection. We cannot replace a damaged card if you do not use using similar shipping methods. We do offer separate mailers (please insert link to cardboard mailer page here) so you won't have to hunt one down.

Handling:

An integral ingredient in a Wax Words product is beeswax. Beeswax is a natural, pliant, durable and fantastic substance. But being wax it has some heat limitations. As such, Wax Words cards should not be left in direct sunlight or where it can be subject to extreme heat, like on the dash of your car. (We use white mailers so there is less heat absorption).

Returns/Damaged cards:

We want you to be happy with your gift, so if a Wax Words card has become over-damaged in the shipping process please let us know by contacting sales@waxwords.com and provide us with the details. All returns require a Return Authorization Number (RAN) from us before the return can be processed. Please return the product with its ORIGINAL shipping package along with the RAN to us postage paid, and we will replace the damaged product. Items returned to us without a RAN will not be processed.

Candle Rolling Instructions:

Candle rolling instructions are included on the inside face of each Wax Words card. More detailed instructions can be found at Rolling Instructions. When the instructions are followed fairly accurately there should be no trouble with rolling your candle. We have had great success with people all over the world rolling our candles! Rolled candles should resemble the examples on the website, but results may vary individually. Remember - it is vitally important to roll the wax at normal room temperature. If the wax is too cold, it will not roll well and may crack and break up. If this starts to happen, you should warm the wax sheets with a hair dryer slightly - but not too much! Try experimenting a little at a time until you get the right consistency.

Unfortunately, we will not replace miss-rolled candles, although we would like to hear about it! Send a picture of your creation - good or bad - to us! We may post it on our wall of fame, hopefully as a brilliant achievement!

Customer Submissions or Unsolicited Submissions to Wax Words:

Customer submissions must include the name and address of the submitter. By submitting any photograph or likeness to us, this photograph and/or customer likenesses (submitted pictures of people) becomes the property of Wax Words (1273717 Alberta Ltd.) to use as we see fit. This may include promotional or other publications.

Wax Words will not recognize the submission of any unsolicited items, artwork, verses or ideas to us. At Wax Words we have staff dedicated to the development of additional Wax Words designs and improvements, many of which are not currently listed on the website. We will not return any unsolicited materials, and any submissions received become the property of Wax Words (1273717 Alberta Ltd.) and will be disposed of. Any personal requests or designs produced through requests become the sole property of Wax Words (1273717 Alberta Ltd.).
